A month after its launch in China, the Deepal S05 Electric SUV—offered in both all-electric and EREV versions—has garnered significant attention, accumulating 21,730 orders. According to media reports, over 10,000 orders were placed within the first ten days of its release. In October, the total number of Deepal vehicles delivered reached 27,862.
Deepal S05's lineup includes six variants: four all-electric models and two EREV versions. The EV model is powered by a 175 kW electric motor, delivering a CLTC range of 510 km. Meanwhile, the EREV model combines a 72 kW 1.5L range extender with a 160 kW electric motor, offering a pure electric CLTC range of 200 km, supported by 56.12 kWh and 27.28 kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries.
The Deepal S05 features an "interstellar flying wing" design, characterized by a sleek, aerodynamic body, a distinct closed front, and split LED headlights that emphasize its modern aesthetic. The rear design stands out with a high-mounted brake light, a double-layer through-type taillight assembly, and a stylish raised ducktail.
Measuring 4,620 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,880 mm, the S05 offers a compact yet roomy interior that comfortably seats five passengers.
The interior boasts a 15.4-inch 2.5K central control screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, an AR-HUD, and a D-shaped steering wheel. The S05 is equipped with advanced driver assistance systems, supported by five HD cameras, five millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars.
Additional features include 35 storage compartments, a panoramic sunroof, rear air-conditioning vents, 64-color ambient lighting, a premium 14-speaker audio system, a driver’s seat with 8-way electric adjustments and lumbar support, and 50W wireless charging.
The Deepal S05 is expected to enter the Nepalese market by March 2025.
